Will Tribulation Saints receive rewards?

First, it needs to be established that all saints are judged and receive their rewards at the time of their respective resurrections. All saints are not resurrected at the same time, but in their “own order.” (1 Corinthians 15:23) The resurrection of all saints are directly connected to the coming of the Lord. (Revelation 22:12) For example, the church believers are not judged at the time of their death, but are judged at the rapture of the church. (1 Corinthians 4:5)

Some people are asking questions about the rewards of the Tribulation saints because they know the church saints will be raptured before the Tribulation Period begins, and will be judged and receive their rewards in heaven. (Revelation 4:4, 10) So, since there seems to be so little revealed about the judgment of those who are saved in the Tribulation Period, the question rises about these saints and their judgment and rewards.

While it appears that all New Testament references to “crowns” seem to be a promise of rewards for the church saints, it would appear that all saints will receive some tangible rewards for their faithfulness to their Lord while living in their respective dispensation. Note Revelation 11:18: “and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great…” The context demands that this is a promise to the believers who will be resurrected and judged at the end of the Tribulation. This would include the Old Testament saints and the Tribulation saints. (Daniel 12:2-3; Revelation 20:4) Also, consider Revelation 22:12: “And, behold I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according as his work shall be.” This promise at the end of the Scriptures seems to be a general promise to all the saints of all ages.Other references to rewards are: Matthew 5:12; 6:1; 10:41-42; Mark 9:41; Luke 6:23, 35. In many of these contexts these promises of a heavenly reward was made to those living in the Old Testament Age.
