Our system now can collect alternative contact information. Our only purpose in collecting this extra information is for back up purposes. Should we ever sustain an event that causes internet loss, server loss, or any other event out of our control, we would desire to continue communications. In most cases, this information will never be used. It most certainly will not be sold, shared or distributed in any manner.

It has come to our attention that corporations are now blocking e-mails from our server. They are seeing our distributions (Bible Study reminders and newsletters) as spam. Spam can have many definitions, but e-mails that are subscription based (“asked for”), are not spam in any way. However corporations may see it differently. They have the right to say that any e-mail not that is not work related is spam. As Christians, we should be very careful to not use work resources for our personal use. Therefore, please try to abide by the following suggestions to help keep e-mails from ptnews.org flowing freely:

1. Please, if at all possible, use only personal e-mail addresses - not work provided addresses.
# If you are doing this and do not plan to forward our e-mails, you may hit the proceed button below, otherwise keep reading.

2. When you get an e-mail from ptnews.org that you have subscribed to, please do not hit the forward
button in your e-mail software. There will be a link at the bottom of your e-mail that will allow you to forward through our system. This allows all the necessary links to be preserved so we do not APPEAR to be a spammer. This also applies to accounts with auto-forwards. Please do subscribe to any account that has an auto-forward set up.
# If you are using a personal e-mail address and understand how to forward our e-mails, you may hit the proceed button below.

3. If you only have a work e-mail address:
# Please get an approval from your IT department to receive personal e-mails from this website and forward a copy of the approval to the
webminister.
# If your IT department has questions that you cannot answer, those may be sent to the
webminister
# Please know that if your e-mail bounces back and it is determined to be a “work related” e-mail address, the e-mail address will be immediately blacklisted and you will not be able to receive e-mails from ptnews.org at that address. This will happen without notification.

4. DO NOT FORWARD to any work e-mail. Either yours or a friend's email address without prior approval.

If you have any questions regarding these suggestions, please contact the webminister.
