Our God is a God of incredible detail. Nothing escapes His knowledge or attention. He lives in the eternal present and has no past or future (Isaiah 57:15). The reality of His entire physical creation from the beginning to the end is spread out before Him in perfect order as directed by His sovereign choice and will. Ecclesiastes 3:1, 17 declares, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. … for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.”

It may sound strange in the West, but according to the Bible, religion will dominate the final kingdom of this age. According to Revelation 17-18, a very evil and domineering world religion will control the Antichrist and his kingdom. During the Tribulation Period the world will be focused upon a sinister person. This evil global dictator, called the “Antichrist,” will be in league with Satan and be empowered by him (Revelation 13:2-4). Who is he and where will he come from? The Bible indicates that his identity will not be known until after the Rapture (2 Thessalonians 2:6-10). While we will not be able to accurately identify him, there are many facts about him and his kingdom that give us a general portrait of the Antichrist. One of those biblical facts is the geographical location of the seat of his government.
