The Resurrection of Messiah: Why the Third Day?

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

The Bible is intricately woven together. The facets of biblical truth are like the multitude of cuts on a brilliant diamond. They must be studied very closely under great light to appreciate the work of the master that created them. It is very difficult for the finite human mind to grasp the fascinating features of God’s eternal purposes which are found on every page of His eternal Word — the Bible. I have experienced great joy in spending much of my life pouring over these profound truths.

It is both humbling and gratifying to recognize that before the foundation of the world, God determined His eternal plan “according to the good pleasure of his will.” (Ephesians 1:5) He has given to us His written revelation to make “known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in himself: That in the dispensation [management] of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him.” (Ephesians 1:9-10)

The central message of the Bible is not about redemption, but the Redeemer, Jesus the Messiah. It is not about the creation, but the Creator, Jesus the Messiah. The central theme of the Bible is riveted upon God and His Son, bound up in His eternal purposes before the foundation of the world. From the moment Jesus spoke the physical world into existence until the implosion of those atoms at the end of this age (2 Peter 3:10; Revelation 20:11), the work of Christ has been divinely ordained and coordinated within the sovereign control of the triune God of heaven and earth. Nothing has been left to chance. Central to all of this is Jesus Christ, “the lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” (Revelation 13:8)

I have been continually wowed by the reality of God’s eternal plans for His Son. Not only do these plans cover all of the meticulous details of what Messiah would accomplish and where He would achieve them, but even the precise time of His endeavors. This is the very stuff that Biblical prophecy focuses upon.  This is just the first page,  download the .pdf file

From Anarchy to the Antichrist

But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass, but the end is not by and by .” Luke 21:9

By Mike Wingfield

News reports from around the world quickly illustrate that we are witnessing an increasing restless spirit of lawlessness. Before we examine the evidence of this escalating lawlessness in our world, it is imperative that we understand what lawlessness is, and grasp how destructive it is. Lawlessness is the ultimate and complete rejection of God, His authority, and His revealed law. It abandons all Biblical reasoning and truth. In the Bible, it is equivalent to wickedness. It has no respect for God or man. It rejects the rights and properties of others. It is filled with arrogance, stubbornness, violence, destruction, hatred, immorality, envy, and it is unmerciful. (See Romans 1:28-31.) Lawlessness has no shame or guilt. It is passionate about gratifying self. It has no other authority than self. Therefore, it is reckless, destructive, and deadly. It places self and all others in grave danger. In essence, it ultimately embraces the kingdom of darkness in rebellion against God. download the .pdf file  Continue reading “October/November 2016 – From Anarchy to the Antichrist”

Hell’s Hatred for Israel

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say… yet they have not prevailed against me.”

Psalm 129:1-2

By Mike Wingfield

“It is 1938 all over again!” This is the terrifying cry of many Jewish people as they examine the shocking global rise of hatred being expressed toward Israel and the Jewish people. 1938 was a horrific year for the Jewish people. It was the year they witnessed the explosion of hatred and persecution that literally opened the doors of the Holocaust, which ultimately led to the savage murder of more than 6 million European Jews. Sadly, the world ignored the threats of Germany’s evil Nazi regime. Led by Adolf Hitler, the Nazis targeted the Jewish people for annihilation.

Today, the world is witnessing an eerily similar development. Millions of Muslims are daily calling for the destruction of Israel. The incitement against Jews is a part of the very fiber of the global Islamic culture. The main Islamic nation that is leading this attack upon Israel is Iran. In recent years, many Iranian officials have repeatedly and openly called for the annihilation of the Jewish nation. Iran is bragging that it will accomplish this mission. Hitler successfully killed 6 million Jews during the few years of the Holocaust. However, Iran is planning to use a nuclear bomb to kill about 6 million Jews in Israel in just a few minutes! Once again, the world is ignoring these daily threats against Israel and the Jewish people.
