    One of the most disturbing subjects in the Bible is the predicted coming of the monster from hell – the Antichrist. For many years, I have been stunned that the Bible has revealed so much detailed information about this demonic dictator who will tyrannically compel the attention of every person on the planet at the end of this age.

    When Jesus Christ came into this world, He came to put His heavenly Father on display for all of mankind to see. The Apostle John wrote, “And the Word [Jesus] was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).

    During the Tribulation Period the world will be focused upon a sinister person. This evil global dictator, called the “Antichrist,” will be in league with Satan and be empowered by him (Revelation 13:2-4). Who is he and where will he come from? The Bible indicates that his identity will not be known until after the Rapture (2 Thessalonians 2:6-10). While we will not be able to accurately identify him, there are many facts about him and his kingdom that give us a general portrait of the Antichrist. One of those biblical facts is the geographical location of the seat of his government.

    As believers in Jesus Christ, we often forget that our view of time should greatly differ from non-believers. Most of the world celebrated the New Year with no thought of the future that has been revealed to us in the Bible.

    I love Psalm 90, written by Moses after he experienced his generation dying in the wilderness because of their disobedience at Kadesh Barnea (Numbers 13-14). He wrote about God teaching him to develop an eternal perspective while experiencing everyday events. Clearly, God desires that we “number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” (Psalm 90:12).
