Tensions in the Middle East Escalate as Israel Readies to Attack Iran

All indications point to a very strong possibility that in the next few days Israel will attack Iran’s nuclear installations. The U.S. nuclear talks with Iran seem to be falling on deaf ears within the Iranian leadership. President Trump is now stating than he is less confident of Iran’s compliance with the demands spelled out in ongoing nuclear negotiations. In defiance of American demands, Iran has openly vowed to ramp up its enrichment. Furthermore, the International Atomic Energy Agency a few days go “passed a resolution declaring that Iran is in noncompliance with its nuclear safeguards obligations” (Times of Israel News, June 12, 2025).

It is apparent that Iran will not give up its nuclear ambition. They consider this a major part of their plan to destroy Israel on their march toward the establishment of a global Islamic republic, eventually headed by their Mahdi [Messiah]. Israel understands this more than anyone else in the world. Intelligence indicates that Israel will strike Iran in the next few days.

Iran has threatened to answer with a deadly retaliatory strike against Israel and all U.S. interests in the region. The U.S. has put its military bases in the Persian Gulf on high alert. They are asking all non-military American citizens to evacuate immediately.

Sources indicate that Israel and Iran are preparing for Israel’s assault upon Iran’s nuclear facilities. It is believed that this Israeli attack on Iran will be met with fierce retaliation by China, Russia, Turkey, and other radical Islamic elements in the Middle East. This could change the balance of power in the Middle East. It could also trigger the Gog and Magog war mentioned in Ezekiel 38.

According to the Bible, any strike against Israel in these last days will be met with great force by the Holy One of Israel. In Isaiah 54:17, the Holy One of Israel declared, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall arise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.” Speaking to Israel about the last days, God has said, “Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished” (Jeremiah 30:10-11).
