Marching To Armageddon

The Lord has promised that when the last days come, He will cause His people to return to the land that He promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He said, “For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries and will bring you into your own land” (Ezekiel 36:24). A multitude of passages declare that the Lord will settle His people upon “the mountains of Israel” (Ezekiel 36:1, 4, 6, 8). An examination of the map of ancient Israel will demonstrate that this is a reference to the mountains of Samaria and Judea. These mountains are currently a part of what the world refers to as “the West Bank.” This area is the very heartland of the land that God promised to His people 4,000 years ago. This area was the location of the majority of biblical accounts recorded in the Bible.

The Bible informs us that at the end of this age, during the final weeks of the Tribulation Period, the armies of all the nations (Zechariah 14:2) will converge on Israel, attempting to force the Israelis to surrender their land and the city of Jerusalem. According to Ezekiel 36:1-7, the nations that surround Israel will resist the Jewish effort to resettle their ancient homeland in the last days. In this conflict, God will defend His people against this aggression and defiance that is opposing His eternal land covenant with Israel (Genesis 13:15). He has warned the Arab/Islamic nations that “they shall bear their shame” (Ezekiel 36:7). This simply means they will suffer a continual humiliating defeat that will bring disgrace upon them.

According to the Bible, the regional war against Israel over her land will ultimately involve all nations. God has declared that the reason for Armageddon is because the nations “have scattered [His people] among the nations, and parted my land” (Joel 3:2). This war over the land of Israel is about to become very intense.

The world continues to reject the biblical truth and push for Israel to allow the creation of a Palestinian State upon the heart of the Promised Land. It seems no nation really wants to protect and defend the Jewish nation. Instead, they are supporting the creation of another Arab Islamic terrorist state, rather than defending the democratic nation of Israel. More importantly, they are choosing to rebel against the eternal work of God, while ignoring His promises to Israel and their right to their land.

I am convinced here are six factors that are about to cause this conflict to escalate and create the march of the nations toward Armageddon. (1) For five decades Israel has cooperated with the global demand for a two-state solution to resolve the conflict over the land. However, most Israelis realize that this is now impossible. The new biblically conservative Israeli government, which includes the religious parties, are now pushing for more new Israeli towns and villages to occupy the disputed territory of the West Bank. These plans are enraging the nations. The world views this as a roadblock that prevents the creation of a viable Palestinian State on the West Bank. (2) Those who have been following the efforts of creating a two-state solution over the last five decades are realizing that the Palestinian leadership has never been serious about establishing a Palestinian State along side a Jewish State – Israel. There is much proof that demonstrates the real goal of the Arab nations and the Palestinian leadership has been the refusal to recognize the continued occupation of the Jewish nation in the Middle East. The Palestinians do not want to only occupy the West Bank, but all the land “from the River to the Sea.” The proof of this is the incitement of hatred against the Jews in the Palestinian mosques, schools, media, and the entire Palestinian culture. Terrorists who kill Israelis are rewarded and glorified in the Palestinian territories. (3) Recent polls throughout the Palestinian territories demonstrate that most Palestinians would rather conduct terrorist attacks against Israel, rather than to promote peace. (4) The armed conflict between Israel and the Palestinians on the West Bank is now escalating rapidly. It is reported that more than 400,000 Palestinians have rifles that have been smuggled into the country by Iran. In recent days, a few Palestinian terrorist groups have launched rockets into Israel from the West Bank. Israel has answered with great military force in several of the towns that are controlled by radical terrorist groups. (5) Global anti-Semitism is escalating and reaching very dangerous levels in the West, especially in Europe. As a result, more Jewish people are immigrating to Israel. Since about one-half of Israel’s territory is desert, the new immigrants need more room to settle. The answer is to allow them to occupy biblical Judea and Samarian (the West Bank). (6) In recent days, President Joe Biden commented that the current Israeli administration is the “most extreme ever.” He made these comments because Israel is ignoring the U.S. warnings about building on the “West Bank.” Israel’s answer was, “We will not compromise on the land of Israel. … It is ours. … The Land of Israel is for the People of Israel, according to the Torah [Law] of Israel. … The United States wants two states for two peoples and we think it’s suicide” (World Israel News, July 10, 2023).

I have been following this conflict for five decades and it is very clear to me that we are about to enter the final phase of the war for the Promised Land. Considering all of the other global developments, we are getting very close to “the shout that will take us out.”

The Approaching Digital Currency

According to the prophetic Scriptures,when the Antichrist comes to power at the mid-point of the 7-year Tribulation, he will force a digital currency upon all nations (Revelation 13:7).  He implements his dictatorial rule over the world by forcing them to adopt his international economic policy.  First, he will call for every person to receive a personal identification number that will reflect the numerical value of his name – 666 (Revelation 13:16-18).  This “mark” [Greek word means “to cut” – could probably be a reference to the injection of a computer chip) will be placed in each person’s right hand or under the skin of their forehead (Revelation 13:16). [Note that these are the two places that a person’s skin is usually exposed when people are dressed.  So, it would ensure that the device would not be concealed or interfered with while being covered with clothing.]  Any person who refuses to accept the economic policy of the Antichrist will not be able to participate in any global economic transaction (Revelation 13:17).  This will be the global dictator’s way of controlling the world population.

While the Tribulation Period has not yet begun, we are witnessing the policies and technologies that are setting the stage for the fulfillment of this prophecy. For several decades we have been witnessing the movement toward a global digital currency.  It is now apparent that we are very close to that time when it will be introduced.  This will be the policies and technology that the Antichrist will adopt when he comes to power.

According to Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz at Israel 365 News, the World Economic Forum has called for the adoption of a one-world currency.  “Dr. Phillipa ‘Pippa’ Malmgren, a technology entrepreneur and economist, spoke at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum being held in Davos, Switzerland, this week [March 28-April 1, 2022], dropping a bombshell prediction that the world is well on its way to implementing an electronic banking system that would open every transaction of every person to government scrutiny. … [This] means digital … it means having an almost perfect record of every single transaction that happens in the economy, which will give us far greater clarity over what’s going on. …

“Unlike current cryptocurrencies, the system Malmgren describes will give the central banks complete control over people’s money. The banks will be able to track every transaction and even control how it is spent, blocking it from being transferred to people or organizations it deems undesirable. … Implementing such a global digital currency system would require the establishment of a global digital currency and a global digital identity for every person on the planet. … The practical difference in switching from what we are using now, which is mostly digital anyway; to central bank digital banking is that cash will be outlawed. When you outlaw cash, every single thing becomes trackable. Nothing is too small” (Israel 365 News, April 5, 2022).  

Be ready for the shout that will take us out!

The Imminent Threat of Global War

Our world is at the crossroads of a very critical moment in history. “The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists is keeping the Doomsday Clock set at 100 seconds to midnight — the closest it has ever been to apocalypse” (www.news.yahoo.com).  The Russian invasion of Ukraine and Vladmir Putin’s threat to use nuclear weapons is moving the world closer to the possibility of a horrific development that would threaten the lives of millions of people across Europe and around the world.

In addition to this war is the concern that Communist China is threatening to invade Taiwan, and possibility Japan.  This power move by China has been expected for several years now.  The recent agreement between Russia and China indicates that these two global forces of anarchy are planning to challenge the old-world order that recognizes the United States as the dominant leader.  Also, in recent days, Iran has attacked the U.S. consulate in Erbil, Iraq.  Unfortunately, the weakness of America, especially demonstrated by the embarrassing departure from Afghanistan, is fueling these bold moves by evil tyrants around the world. 

Many world leaders fear that an evil emerging new world order is taking shape to challenge the dominance of the United States and the West.  This evil order includes the alliance of China, Russia, Iran, and Turkey. 

Israeli leaders continue to warn the world that the greatest threat is not China or Russia, but the radical leaders of the Islamic world in Iran and Turkey.  These leaders are motivated by a passionate religious fervor.  They believe their country is destined to bring world-wide destruction that will prepare the way for their coming messiah.  Muslim terrorists have demonstrated they are willing to sacrifice themselves for this cause.  In contrast, Russia and China seem to be rational actors on the global stage.  They want power, prestige, and wealth.  This is not accomplished by destroying the world.

Perhaps the greatest threat to the world is the possible development of a nuclear Iran.  Everyone agrees that Iran is enriching uranium far beyond what is necessary for peaceful purposes.   The Iranians want a nuclear bomb to blackmail the world into submission to their god – Allah.  Should they develop a nuclear arsenal, it would set in motion a nuclear arms race in the Middle East, one of the most volatile regions on the planet.  In recent days, President Biden has attempted to contact the Persian Gulf Arab leaders to seek their assistance with the current oil crisis.   These leaders have refused to answer Biden’s phone calls.  They refuse to talk to a person who is aiding their enemy – Iran. 

At the top of the Iran’s hit list is the nation of Israel.  They have verbally made that clear for several decades.  Consequently, Israel has vowed that it will act alone if necessary to halt Iran’s march toward a nuclear bomb.  They consider this to be an existential threat.  This could set in motion a major war in the Middle East.

It is both foolish and alarming that the Biden administration is currently acquiring the services of Russia to encourage Iran to once again accept a nuclear agreement that would supposedly temporarily limit Iran’s ability to have a nuclear bomb.  This proposed agreement would allow Iran to continue to advance their nuclear capabilities, remove economic sanctions, and award them with billions of dollars.  Everyone knows that Iran cannot be trusted.  They have demonstrated they will not abide by any agreement.  Furthermore, giving them a windfall of billions of dollars will financially fuel their terrorist campaign in the Middle East and around the world.  The recent Iranian attack upon the U.S. consulate in Iraq demonstrates that Iran considers the U.S. to be an enemy.  It is foolish to negotiate with evil enemies who demonstrate their hatred for you.   

The Biden administration and those in Europe who agree with him are acting recklessly and placing the world in grave danger.  The collapse of the West and the bold movements of evil nations in the east are preparing the world for the formation of the kingdom of the Antichrist that will rule the world during the Tribulation. 

At some point in time, Russia and its coalition partners mentioned in Ezekiel 38 – Iran, Turkey, Libya, and Sudan – will make their move against Israel.  Perhaps this will be triggered by Israel’s attempt to destroy Iran’s nuclear march toward a nuclear weapon. 

Jesus said that the period prior to the Tribulation would be a time of “wars and rumors of war” (Matthew 24:6).  That time has arrived.  So, “be listening for the shout that will take us out!”

Russia Hiring Syrians to Fight in Ukraine

The Jewish Press reported on March 7, 2022, that Russia has employed Syrians to fight alongside of Russian troops in Ukraine.  It is reported that these Syrian troops have urban combat experience in the war with other Islamic radical elements in Syria in the last few years.  Russia is ramping up its forces to attack major urban centers in Ukraine.

This is a critical development.  According to the Bible, Russia and its allies will invade Israel in the last days from the northern parts of Israel – the Syrian border along the Golan Heights (Joel 2:20; Ezekiel 38:15 & 39:2).  It appears that Russia is already forming its coalition for this battle that will happen in “the latter days” (Ezekiel 38:8, 16).  It is very apparent that the Syrians will join their Russian partners in this Biblical war of Gog and Magog.

Threat at U.S. Southern Border

One of the serious signs of the last days is the preparations for a One-World government. See Psalm 2:1-3 and Revelation 13:7. For this to take place, the global players who are attempting to make this happen realize they must bring about the demise of the United States. The U.S. is the world’s most powerful nation in the free world. However, that is rapidly changing.
The globalists are using several strategies to bring about the collapse of the U.S. They are attempting to change the nation spiritually, morally, economically, educationally, and politically. At this moment, America is fighting for its life as one of the world’s last true democracies. One of the ways to bring down this nation is to flood it with immigrants that will change the make-up of this once great nation. This is one of the purposes behind the current administration’s open southern border policy.
The current open border policy is a threat to the national security of America. A recent Gatestone Institute article highlighted the invasion of illegal immigrants flooding our southern border with Mexico. Records show that in 2021, almost 1.7 million migrants attempted to enter the U.S. illegally. This is the highest number ever recorded in our history. Data indicates that in 2021 at least 63 percent of those who illegally entered America were from countries other than Mexico. Many of these are enemies of America. It is known that many of them have prior criminal convictions. They are also bringing dangerous illegal drugs across the border.
They are flooding our medical facilities in the southern states, threatening their economic demise. They are placing a massive economic burden upon our government. The current administration is offering billions of dollars in economic aid to these illegal immigrants, while assisting them to settle within our borders. All of this is happening when our nation is facing unprecedented rates of unemployment and runaway inflation. This is a recipe for disaster.
