Israelis Turning their Eyes toward Heaven

I believe that the present circumstances in Israel are preparing the hearts of many Israelis to find salvation in Jesus as their Messiah and Savior. The effects of the coronavirus are having a big impact upon the tiny nation of Israel. Israelis have a great value for the sanctity of human life. Therefore, they have been taking great measures to protect their people for this very contagious virus.

The entire country is on a strict quarantine to remain in their homes. Presently, 25 percent of all the adults in Israel are unemployed. This ongoing condition is bringing many Israelis to their knees emotionally and economically.

Added to this is the political dilemma in Israel. Israel has been without an elected government for one full year and may now be facing an unprecedented fourth election in a little over one year. Furthermore, Israel continues to hear the call for their destruction from Iran and the other terrorist groups on their borders.

As a result of all of this, Israelis are being humbled and spiritually broken. They are seeking for help and many are turning to the Lord. Recently, many Jewish residents in the disputed territories gathered on their balconies to sing Psalm 54. To watch this go to

Looking at our present world conditions, it appears that our Lord could come at any moment. I remind you that the Tribulation Period will begin with a massive Jewish spiritual turning to the Lord for salvation (Ezekiel 39, 7, 22; Joel 2:28-32; Revelation 7). Salvation requires that people humble themselves and turn to the Lord for salvation. Could it be that we are witnessing the work of the Spirit that is preparing Israel for the great moment of salvation of tens of thousands of Jews at the opening of the Tribulation?

Rhetoric between Russia, Iran, and Israel Heating UP

Israel has just discovered the location of another Iranian precision missile factory in Syria that is under construction. The factory is just outside of Latakia, close to the Russian Khmeimim Air Force base. Israel has announced that Prime Minister Netanyahu will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on February 21 to discuss the growing Iranian military presence in Syria, near Israel’s northern border.

However, Russia, Iran, and Syria are having a meeting before Putin’s meeting with Netanyahu to discuss Israel’s military strikes against Iran’s strategic military interests in Syria. On Friday, February 8, Russia’s deputy foreign minister warned Israel to curtain its strikes against Iranian positions in Syria.  Russia claims that Israel’s attack on Iran’s military installations in Syria are destabilizing the region, moving Iran and Israel closer to a major military confrontation.

In light of the prophetic Word found in Ezekiel 38, these are critical developments that are worthy of our utmost attention. It is my opinion that the battle of Gog and Magog, which includes Iran and Russia, mentioned in Ezekiel 38 will take place very close to the time of the Rapture of the church.

Radical Shifting of Earth’s Magnetic Field

When a person wants to pinpoint his location he can take a compass and find his position in terms of the North Pole. The compass will always point north toward the North Pole due to the earth’s magnetic field. Scientists know the earth has a magnetic field that is created by the movement of ferrous fluids that travel around the earth’s core. While they do not completely understand this effect, they have been able to determine that the earth’s magnetic field is changing. They have noted that the magnetic point known as the North Pole is traveling toward the south. Thirty years ago, this was taking place at a rate of 9.3 miles per year. However, now it is moving at the rate of 34 miles per year.

According to Breaking Israel News, “Scientists confirm that the magnetic pole shift is happening and that it will have a major impact on the planet. Researchers estimated that the planet’s magnetic field has already lost 30 percent of its intensity in the last 3,000 years and predict it will drop to near zero in the next few centuries.”

The shifting of this magnetic field is having a major impact upon all navigational systems being used today. Breaking Israel News states, “On January 30, the World Magnetic Model governing modern navigation systems is due to undergo an unscheduled update. This update, delayed because of the U.S. Government shutdown, is a vital component of almost every navigational system in use today. The current model set up in 2015 was expected to remain valid until 2020 but the magnetic pole is shifting so quickly that officials decided it needed to be adjusted.”

The reduction of the earth’s magnetic field also has a more dangerous result. Most scientists concur that this magnetic field protects earth from most of the sun’s harmful radiation and particles. Therefore, as the magnetic field continues to deteriorate, it could cause certain areas of the earth’s surface to become unbearably hot.

If this trend continues, it could cause a complete reversal of earth’s magnetic field. The North Pole would become the South Pole and vice versa. A study of earth’s rocks indicates that this happened thousands of years ago. It is possible that this is what happened to bring about the sudden conditions that prevailed upon the earth at the time of the global flood in Noah’s day.

This also sounds like what will happen during the Tribulation. While referring to the geological upheaval of the Tribulation, Isaiah 24:1 says, “Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.” Read the entire chapter. This is what is coming upon the earth. It will cause major global warming. Read Revelation 16:8-9.
