One of the most disturbing subjects in the Bible is the predicted coming of the monster from hell – the Antichrist. For many years, I have been stunned that the Bible has revealed so much detailed information about this demonic dictator who will tyrannically compel the attention of every person on the planet at the end of this age.

When Jesus Christ came into this world, He came to put His heavenly Father on display for all of mankind to see. The Apostle John wrote, “And the Word [Jesus] was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).

Our God is a God of incredible detail. Nothing escapes His knowledge or attention. He lives in the eternal present and has no past or future (Isaiah 57:15). The reality of His entire physical creation from the beginning to the end is spread out before Him in perfect order as directed by His sovereign choice and will. Ecclesiastes 3:1, 17 declares, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. … for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.”

It may sound strange in the West, but according to the Bible, religion will dominate the final kingdom of this age. According to Revelation 17-18, a very evil and domineering world religion will control the Antichrist and his kingdom. Depicted as a harlot, this false religion will control the reigns of the Antichrist as she rides upon the beast that represents him. See the image on this page.
