The Rapture & Feast of Trumpets

Behold, I [show] you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” 1 Corinthians 15:51-52

The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is About to Roar

By Mike Wingfield

I am an avid deer hunter. I love the challenge of hunting the elusive and smart Virginia whitetail deer that is plentiful in my area. Several years ago, I was hunting in the woods near my house. I was in a tree stand about 14 feet in the air. I had been in the stand before daylight. After sunrise I saw, for the first time in my area, a black bear. He was moving in a parallel direction that was going away from me. However, as he crossed the logging road about 60 feet in front me, he stuck his nose up in the air and winded me. He suddenly turned toward me and started to run directly at me! Immediately, I became very concerned. Bears run fast and can climb a tree quickly. Obviously, I was scared. However, as he got closer, he stopped and stuck his nose up in the air again. He had lost scent of me. He kept slowly walking toward the base of the tree I was in. Surprising to me, he walked within two feet of the ladder of my stand and just kept walking until he was out of sight. I breathed a big sigh of relief!

This has made me much more cautious as I hunt in my area. Since then, I have captured pictures of several other bears on some of my trail cameras. Obviously, my concern is attached to the fear we should all have of a wild animal that is too close for comfort.

The world does not know it, but they have a lion that is watching them. This lion is Jesus. He is not just any lion. He is “the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Root of David” (Revelation 5:5). He is always watching, guarding, and protecting His people, Israel.

Everyone who has studied the Bible knows that it speaks of two separate comings of Jesus the Messiah. When Jesus came the first time, He came as the humble and submissive Lamb of God to die for the sinners of the world. He was born as a little baby in Bethlehem, the city of David. His first coming was obscure and quiet. Later, He rode a donkey into Jerusalem as a symbol of peace. At Calvary, His own blood was sprinkled upon His garments as He became the Redeemer for all the sinners of the world.

In sharp contrast to His first coming as the Lamb of God, Jesus will come the second time as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. This coming will be visible for all to see (Revelation 1:7). His roar will be loud and His actions merciless, as He comes to kill the enemies who have gathered against His people, Israel. He will come as a warrior and judge to smite the nations. The blood of the sinners who have gathered against Israel will be splattered upon His garments (Isaiah 63:1-6).

Since Jesus ascended back to heaven almost 2,000 years ago, He has been sitting at the right hand of the Father. There, He continues to work through His church on earth to deliver a message of peace and mercy to all the unsaved on earth. However, the age of God’s grace is about to end. According to the Bible, the Lord has been patient with the wicked inhabitants of earth, waiting for their repentance. However, it is very apparent that we are about to see an end to this age of grace. At any moment, the Lamb will call His church home and one of the first things they will witness in heaven is the introduction of Jesus as “the Lion of the tribe of Judah” (Revelation 5:5). The gentle Lamb of God will instantly turn into a roaring and warring Lion.

Why will Jesus come in fury at His Second Coming as a warring and roaring Lion? This is a very important question that many people fail to ask. Jesus will return to earth at the end of the Tribulation to defend His chosen people from the threat of death and annihilation at the hands of the Gentile nations of the world. He will come to abolish wicked human governments so He can establish His righteous kingdom over all nations.

Most hunters and lovers of the outdoors know that the most dangerous time to encounter a bear in the woods is when they have little cubs with them. If the bear thinks you are a threat to the cubs, you are in danger. The bear will protect and defend them with its life. In a similar comparison, the consideration of our Lord as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, has the same application. The role of Jesus as a Lion is to protect and defend His people, Israel. The world is meddling with the chosen people of God. They do not understand that they are no match for the Almighty, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah!

The Jewish people are the chosen, unique people of God. The Bible is a Jewish book. Almost all the chosen writers of God’s written revelation were Jews.

The faith of believers in Jesus Christ is anchored in the faith of Abraham, the father of our faith (Romans 4:16). God chose Abraham out of a pagan culture that worshipped many idols and gods. Abraham and his descendants through the chosen line of Isaac and Jacob, were given a special standing as the chosen messengers, servants, and representatives of the One and only true God on earth. That is why from Genesis 12 through the remainder of the Bible, the central focus of God has been upon His people – Israel. God called the Jewish people into an irrevocable covenant and relationship with Himself.

Speaking to King David, God promised that He would establish the descendants of David as the vessel through whom He would rule over the world through His Messiah (2 Samuel 7:16). Nothing can change or alter this covenant that God has made with the Jewish people (Psalm 89:27-37). God’s covenant and promise to Israel are based upon His infinite and eternal unchanging character. He thundered forth this truth when He said, “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed” (Malachi 3:6).

God has chosen the Jewish people, despite their sin and rebellion, to ultimately bring Him glory. The Lord has declared, “This people have I formed for myself; they shall [show] forth my praise” (Isaiah 43:21). He has called them to be His servants through whom He can display His power, faithfulness, grace, and glory to the world.

God has attached His Name and honor to the Jewish people. He is repeatedly called the God of Jacob, the Holy One of Israel, and the Redeemer and Creator of Israel. Therefore, God’s defense of Israel is the defense of His glory and honor. Psalm 89:18 declares, “For the LORD is our defense; and the Holy One of Israel is our King.”

When the world tramples upon the Jewish people, they are attacking the honor and glory of God. Attacking Israel is like sticking your finger in the eye of God. “For he that toucheth you [Israel] toucheth the apple of his eye” (Zechariah 2:8). According to the Bible, the world’s hatred toward the Jewish people will escalate at the end of this age to a very dangerous level that will include all nations. The Tribulation Period will be a horrific time for the Jewish people and the nation of Israel (Jeremiah 30:1-7; Daniel 12:1; Matthew 24:21-22). At Armageddon, all nations will invade Israel and surround Jerusalem to annihilate the nation of Israel. Their goal will be to remove the Jewish presence from the Holy Land and the Holy City of Jerusalem. This will anger the Lion of Judah and He will attack the invading forces and annihilate them.

The pouncing of the Lion of Judah upon the nations at the end of this age was a prominent prophetic declaration given to the believing remnant of Israel at a very difficult time in their history. Five Old Testament prophets highlighted the coming Messiah as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

Moses (Genesis 49:1, 9-12). While on his deathbed in Egypt, Jacob gathered his sons around him and spoke amazing words of prophecy concerning their future. He said, “Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days” (Genesis 49:1). As he addressed Judah, Jacob spoke of a ruler that would come from Judah that would be strong, fierce, and deadly. He compared Judah to a lion. In the last days, this lion will have fire in His eyes, and His white teeth will accompany His roar as He devours His enemies that have come against His people.

Isaiah mentions the coming Messiah as a roaring lion three times in his book. One of the names for Jerusalem is Ariel, which means “Lion of God” (Isaiah 29:1-2). The lion is the symbol of Jerusalem and Judah. (See the flag of Jerusalem above that features the Lion of Judah.) In Isaiah 29:1-8, the Lord promised His people that all the nations who will fight against Ariel (Jerusalem) in the last days will be destroyed by Him. A few chapters later, Isaiah refers to the Lord as “the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 31:1) and “the Lord of Hosts” (Isaiah 31:4). The Lord declares, “Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, …[I will]come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof. As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it” (Isaiah 31:4-5). In chapter 42, Isaiah once again sounds the warning of the roar of the Lion of Judah upon His return, “The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.  I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once” (Isaiah 42:13-14).

The prophet Jeremiah sounds out the most solemn warning concerning the wrathful roar of the Lord Jesus as the Lion of Judah when He returns to earth at the end of the Tribulation. Jeremiah wrote, “The LORD shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth. A noise shall come, even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD” (Jeremiah 25:30-31). The most awesome display of God’s sovereign power and glory will be made visible and audible to all the inhabitants of earth at the revelation of Christ.

While referring to the closing moments of the Battle of Armageddon in Israel, where the nations will gather to annihilate the Jewish people, (Zechariah 12:1-9; 14:1-3), Joel wrote, “The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel” (Joel 3:16).

Finally, the prophet Amos, envisions the Lion of Judah at last standing in Jerusalem as He gives His final roar to defeat all the armies of the Antichrist gathered in Israel. Amos wrote, “The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem…” (Amos 1:2). This shocking and stunning sound of the mighty roar of Jesus in His righteous anger will send a chill down the spine of all those who will hear Him. Amos responds, “The lion hath roared, who will not fear” (Amos 3:8)?

Currently, most of the world is standing with the enemies of Israel. They are opposing the divine order and will of God that He has declared in His unconditional and irrevocable covenant with the Jewish people. The nations, including the United States, are attempting to divide the Promised Land to force Israel to surrender the Holy Land, Jerusalem, and the Temple Mount to the Muslims. They are inviting the attack of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

The uproar around the world because of Israel’s attack against Hamas to defend itself, has brought about a sudden revolt around the world against God, His Son, His Word, and His people. This is a direct fulfillment of Psalm 2:1-3. As a result, the Lord has warned that He will vex, literally “terrify,” the nations with His awesome judgments (Psalm 2:5). He has declared, “Yet have I set my King upon my holy hill of Zion” (Psalm 2:6).

Soon, the earth will be visited with a devastating and violent shaking that will change the face of the world (Isaiah 24). The Lord has said He will do this because the world has defiantly rebelled against His everlasting covenant He made with His people, Israel. Speaking of the future devastating earthquakes, the Lord said, “The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant” (Isaiah 24:5).

Since the beginning of the state of Israel in 1948, the world’s only Jewish nation has been at constant war with Islamic nations over the Holy Land. The liberal media and world leaders have deceptively painted the struggle for the land of Israel as centering on the establishment of a Palestinian State. However, the world, including the Arab Muslims of the Middle East, have demonstrated that they do not care about the fate of the Palestinian people. All the talk about Palestine is nothing more than a thinned veil of hate that is aimed at the ultimate removal of all Jews from the land formerly called Palestine. The area called Palestine was never governed by a local people. The ancient mindset was that of the Bedouins. The Bedouins do not want any roots or land of their own. They are the equivalent of homeless people in our culture. They want to be free from responsibilities, properties, and cares. They want the freedom to just move from one place to another with no strings attached. This was an attractive option in the ancient culture where people lived off the land and were always migrating to areas where their livestock could graze.

The land of Palestine was externally controlled by the great empires of history. Finally, this land was under the control of the Ottoman Turkish Empire for 400 years, ending in 1917 at the end of World War I. In the Islamic mindset, Palestine is a part of a global Islamic Empire. As Islam aspires to control the world once again, it believes it must reconquer former Islamic lands to restore their power and pride for the honor of their god, Allah. Therefore, the presence of an independent Jewish nation on former Islamic land is a total embarrassment to many Muslims. Millions of Muslims around the world are passionate about destroying Israel and are willing to die for this cause.

The modern conflict over this land has now been raging for 100 years. In this struggle, the nations of the world have attempted to appease the Muslims by forcing Israel to surrender a part of its Promised Land to appease the Muslims. After World War I, Great Britain promised all the land that was called Palestine to the Jewish people. However, since 1922, 80 percent of that land has been given back to the Arabs, creating the Arab country of Jordan. This appeasement to the Muslims also applies to the Communists and Socialist, who control the United Nations.

From its inception more than 75 years ago, Israel has attempted to find some way to appease the world and the Arab Muslims by attempting to establish what is today called “a two-state solution.” The goal is to have two countries, a Jewish nation, and a Palestinian nation, on the land from “the river to the sea.” The proposal for peace between the Israelis and Palestinians has been based upon trading land for peace.

Since October 7, 2023, most Israelis have come to realize that the Arab Muslims and the Palestinians have not been negotiating in good faith. These enemies of Israel do not want to live with Jews in any part of the land. They want a one-state solution. They want the annihilation of the Jewish state. They envision the Palestinian state to be “from the river to the sea.” They want all the land, not just part of it.

Israel has now arrived at the conclusion that a two-state solution is impossible. They believe “whoever supports a two-state solution supports the destruction of Israel” (Israel Today, January 12, 2024). The entire world disagrees with this conclusion. Therefore, Israel and the world are at a major point of disagreement. In my opinion, this will continue to promote more hatred for Jews and the nation of Israel. The stage has been set for the false peace covenant of the Antichrist that will begin the Tribulation. Then the entire world will face the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

The Lord has already demonstrated that He will fulfill all these warnings of His coming as the Lion of God. During the Six Day War in June 1967, a very significant development took place. The Gentile nations had been in control of the city of Jerusalem for thousands of years. During the time of Jesus’ visit to earth, Jerusalem was suffering under Roman domination. However, when Israel captured the Old City of Jerusalem [the ancient biblical city] it was the first time that the Jews had regained control of the biblical city of Jerusalem since before the time of Christ.

When Israel captured Jerusalem in 1967, a unique development took place that pointed to the presence of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah at work. An article in the publication from Israel, For Zion’s Sake, gave the following report, “In the Six Day War (1967) Israel had to secure the mountains around Jerusalem as the Jordanians were shelling them. Col. Ben Air secured it. His name in Hebrew is “the son of a lion.” He was ordered to fight as a lion for the hill (or mountain of God). The head of the Har El Brigade [means Mountain of God Brigade] securing the mountain was Arik Regev. ‘Arik’ is short for ‘Ariye,’ meaning “lion.” He gave the command: “It’s time guys to take Jerusalem!” So, a lion gave the command – man could not have planned this! Col. Arik Regev then, hearing a sound of a shofar, and the Commander Motta Gour, (Gour in Hebrew is ‘young lion) were the first people through the gates of Jerusalem. Arik (lion again) Achmon was with Motta Gour. Major Achmon also passed the command to another soldier who also was another young lion. They entered the gates and took Jerusalem. Through which gate? Yes, the Lion’s Gate! God had been with them. And as He has been with them before, He will be with them again to save them. But instead of a lamb, He returns as a Lion” (Sharon Saunders, For Zions’s Sake, “The Lion of Judah in Revelation,” Second Quarter 2023, p. 6).

Friends, we are about to witness the war between two lions – the Lion of Hell and the Lion of Heaven. Satan is pictured in the Bible “as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). Satan is blinding the nations as he leads them into a battle with the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. He is blinding them with a stupor of hatred for the Jewish people. We are currently witnessing a major eruption of Jewish hatred around the world.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is reporting about the shocking rise in Jewish hatred. Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO of ADL recently stated, “The American Jewish community is facing a threat level that’s now unprecedented in modern history” (World Israel News, January 10, 2024). Since October 7, 2023, the U.S. has witnessed a 360 percent increase in antisemitic acts. This is the highest spike in antisemitism in recorded history in the United States!

Jews around the world are saying it is starting to look like 1939 all over again. That was the beginning of the Holocaust, where one-half of the world’s Jewish population was brutally murdered by the Nazis. According to the Bible, a more horrific day is ahead for Jews and the nation of Israel. My heart aches for the Jewish people and what lies before them.

The enemies of the Jews are the enemies of God (Psalm 83:1-4). God has promised to curse those who curse Israel (Genesis 12:3). God loves His people and so do I. Friends, if you are standing with God, you must also stand with Israel and the Jewish people. Many lies are being circulated in our institutions of higher learning and social media that are attempting to delegitimize the nation of Israel and demean the Jewish people.

While speaking to the Jewish people living in the last days, the Lord declared, “For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land” (Ezekiel 36:24). This is the divine will of God. I stand with God!

Those who oppose God and hate His people, and His divine will, are asking for the Lion of God to devour them!

Soon we will be in heaven. In that great moment in the throne room, we will witness the unleashing of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah (Revelation 4-5).

Be ready for the shout that will take us out!

Thinking about Eternity

Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.”

Psalm 90:1-2

By Mike Wingfield

Eternity. What comes to mind when you hear that word? Time. What is time and how does it relate to eternity? These are great questions that we need to honestly consider from a biblical perspective. As we begin a New Year, it seems fitting that we would consider what time and eternity are, and their relationship to each other. By doing this you will discover this is a great mystery that is difficult for the finite human mind to grasp. Without God’s revelation from the Bible, it would be impossible to even begin an accurate consideration of time and eternity.

While this matter is profound, it is very basic to the Christian faith and all that we should live for. It is very important that we call upon the Holy Spirit to teach us through His Word the meaning of time and eternity. Join me as we think about eternity.

God is Eternal

When we speak about man and all of God’s creation, we can reference it within the created boundaries of time. However, when we speak of God, we must also go outside of the boundaries of time. God has no beginning or end. He is eternal (Deuteronomy 33:27). The triune God in His very essence is an eternal Spirit. He lives outside the realm of finite time, space, and matter. All of time, space, and matter are a part of His creation for His purposes and for His glory. He controls and rules over all of time, space, and matter. Therefore, He is not bound or limited by any part of His creation. He is free to operate within His own self-imposed restrictions which eternally qualify Him to be holy, good, perfect, and sovereign. He cannot speak or act contrary to His infinite attributes. He is eternally true and faithful.

It is impossible for man to completely understand each of the statements above. While we by faith accept them, it is difficult for our finite minds to grasp them. God in His person is great beyond our comprehension. Long ago, the ancient prophet Isaiah asked, “To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him” (Isaiah 40:18)? Later, Isaiah declared that when you consider the everlasting God “there is no searching of his understanding” (Isaiah 40:28). Hundreds of years later, the Apostle Paul would exclaim, “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out” (Romans 11:33)!

In no way is the One and only triune God limited or controlled by His finite creation. He is self-existent (John 5:26). That simply means He depends on nothing or no one for His being. He is the great “I am.” He is not bound by time. He is the sovereign King over all time (1 Timothy 1:17). Time began when the Lord spoke it into existence “in the beginning” (Genesis 1:1). Time, as defined by the Bible, is the measurement of the continuation of all events and activities in their association to earth’s position in relationship to the movements of the sun, moon, and stars (Genesis 1:14-19). Thus, time began when God spoke the creation into existence. Time will end when God speaks, and the creation will be completely renovated after the Millennial Kingdom (Psalm 102:25-26; 2 Peter 3:10-12).

Time, as defined by the Bible, is the measurement of the continuation of all events and activities in their association to earth’s position in relationship to the movements of the sun, moon, and stars.

One of the oldest Psalms, written by Moses 3,400 years ago, declares, “Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God” (Psalm 90:1-2). God does not live in time. He lives in eternity. He lives in the eternal now (Isaiah 57:15). He has no past. He has no future. He sees, understands, and controls all events within the boundaries of time all at the same moment. This is why the Bible declares “that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” (2 Peter 3:8).

He lives in His eternal perspective where He sees the formation of all the atoms at the beginning while He also sees and controls the renovation of all the atoms at the end of time. He sees and rules over the invisible atoms and the great space of all the millions of galaxies that are beyond the intellectual capacity of man. The earth and God’s vast creation are His servants (Psalm 119:91). They obey when He speaks. Nothing escapes His total comprehension or divine sovereign control.

It is vitally important to realize that the entire Bible is God’s revelation about Himself and His creation from eternity past to eternity future. Psalm 90:2 profoundly declares that He lives “from everlasting to everlasting.” In other words, God was before time began (eternity past) and will always be after time will end (eternity future). The Bible is a book about God and eternity. God expects us to discover His revelation about Himself and His eternal plan within and beyond time. This is another reason why biblical prophecy is so vitally important. This is why there is so much biblical prophecy in the Bible. Through the prophetic texts, God is transforming our thinking from creatures of finite time to redeemed children of God who will live in eternity.

If we are only interested in ourselves and our own little world at this moment in time, we are acting selfishly and foolishly. We will be out of touch with God and the very purposes He has for us and all His creation. “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable” (1 Corinthians 15:19).

Man is Eternal from His Conception

Man is eternal from his conception. We were made in the image of God. “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth” (Genesis 1:26). What does it mean to be created in God’s image? This is a deep and profound subject. Several volumes could be written to answer this question. Simply, this means we were made as spiritual, moral, social, eternal, and intellectual creatures. In this newsletter, I am only briefly focusing upon the aspect of man being an eternal person.

T he Bible overwhelmingly testifies that all mankind will live forever from the moment of their conception in their mother’s womb. After speaking about the passing away of the creation, the Psalmist in Psalm 102 declares, “The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee” (Psalm 102:28). The Hebrew word “continue” speaks of the continuation of a person’s life and dwelling place. This is speaking of God’s children living with God in His place. Psalm 90:1 reminds us, “LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.” The word “established” in Psalm 102:28, speaks of the child of God being sustained or secured in the presence of God. While the world is in a state of passing away, man is secured by the eternal God and will live forever.

When Jesus stood before the tomb of His friend Lazarus, He said to his sister, Martha, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die” (John 11:25-26). The Bible states that the believer in Jesus Christ has eternal life now and “in the world to come” (Mark 10:30). When the believer in Christ dies on this earth, he is ushered into the presence of the Lord, where he awaits the resurrection of his earthly body at the time of the Rapture (2 Corinthians 5:8). He never dies but continues to live with Christ and the saints in heaven (Hebrews 9:15). All believers will enjoy “eternal glory” (2 Timothy 2:10) and receive an “eternal inheritance” (Hebrews 9:15).

In sharp contrast to this, all the unsaved will live forever, but suffer “eternal damnation” (Mark 3:29). They will be raised out of hell and made to stand before the Lord Jesus to be judged and condemned to the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:11-15). In the Lake of Fire, all the sinners of all the ages will “be tormented day and night for ever and ever” (Revelation 20:10). They will not be annihilated or cease to exist. They will live forever in a state of eternal judgment and torment separated from God.

Each human being has been created as an eternal being. All who have ever been conceived will live in heaven or in eternal damnation. How sad that most people live only for the moment and never think about eternity. They never think about where they will spend eternity.

Thinking about Eternity

Thinking about time and eternity is very basic to the Christian faith. When a person gets saved, it is the goal of the Holy Spirit to begin a gradual process that will transform them back into the perfect image of God. This is called sanctification and it is part of the salvation process. At the moment of our salvation, we are saved from the penalty of sin once and for all. We are being saved each day from the power of sin through the sanctifying work of the Spirit. Ultimately, we will be made perfect and sinless when we are saved from the presence of sin at the Rapture.

When a person gets saved, he begins to learn how to “walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). The Bible says that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). At the time of our salvation, the Holy Spirit begins to teach us to look at things in this world from a spiritual perspective. “[The] eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God (1 Corinthians 2:9-10). This transformation directed by the Holy Spirit is always connected to a person’s reception of the Word of God. “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

The life of the apostle Paul gives us a perfect example of how faith is produced by the Spirit through the Bible. In 2 Corinthians 4:16- 5:10, we learn how Paul walked by faith and not by sight. In this passage, Paul teaches us that biblical faith transcends time, space, and matter. We learn to look at life from God’s perspective.

When a person gets saved, there are three dynamic ways his vision changes. This is the very basic stuff that creates and maintains our faith. First, man begins to look at things that are not only physical, but invisible (2 Corinthians 4:18). There is a spiritual realm that is invisible. The Spirit of God uses biblical prophecy to help develop our spiritual vision of the invisible. Because of divine revelation, people of faith look beyond the physical realm. They cannot physically see it, but they believe this realm is there! For example, look at the testimony of the faith of Abraham and the patriarchs in Hebrews 11:8-10, 13-14.

Second, at salvation, the Spirit begins to teach man to look at things that are not only temporary, but eternal (2 Corinthians 4:17-18). A biblical faith helps us to develop an eternal perspective on life. It is a restoration to our image of God as eternal persons like God. The core problem in our godless culture is the passion to pursue instant gratification. People do not stop to think about the eternal consequences of their sin.

Biblical prophecy is the perfect tool the Spirit uses to create an eternal perspective in us. The Lord wants us to develop a timetable of eternity for finite man. We only live on this earth for a very short time. But this is not the reality of all that we will experience in eternity. There is a reason why there is so much prophecy in the Bible. When we study about the details of God’s eternal plan in the Bible, we are looking at the mileposts of the future that help to fix the reality of eternity in our minds.

Biblical prophecy is the perfect tool the Spirit uses to create an eternal perspective in us. The Lord wants us to develop a timetable of eternity for finite man.

Practically, this helps us to make choices based upon the BIG PICTURE, rather than being overwhelmed with instant gratification. This is where the sinful heart lives in foolishness and the dangers of the wages of sin. For example, look at the testimony of Moses in Hebrews 11:23-29.

Third, biblical faith causes us to look at things that are not only earthly, but heavenly (2 Corinthians 5:1-6). Heaven is mentioned numerous times in the Bible. Heaven is at the heart of the longing of those who have real biblical faith! What we think about heaven and its daily application in our lives is essential for our spiritual growth and maturity (Colossians 3:1-4).

Biblical prophecy is like an eye chart. It helps us to check our spiritual vision. Biblical prophecy causes us to look beyond time, space, and matter. We are exercising our faith as we view ourselves as pilgrims and strangers on this earth. This is the real stuff that faith is made of. It is at the heart of our salvation experience and our real daily walk and worship experience. If heaven is not our home and our daily hope and focus, then our spiritual vision is really suffering!

The Practical Application

One of the main goals of the Holy Spirit is to produce a godly character in us. A part of that godly character is our application of the reality that we are eternal. As we grow in our understanding of this reality, it will radically alter our perspective of life and living. Our glorious hope is bound up in our faith – a faith that is anchored in eternity.

Most people are selling their souls to the cheap, instant thrills of this world. They do not realize that the God Who loves them created them to live for eternity. He created them to know Him and enjoy being with Him for all eternity. ne of the main goals of the Holy Spirit is to produce a godly character in us. A part of that godly character is our application of the reality that we are eternal. As we grow in our understanding of this reality, it will radically alter our perspective of life and living. Our glorious hope is bound up in our faith – a faith that is anchored in eternity.

This perspective of the hope of eternity is what helps us live in a world full of pain and disappointment. It strengthens us when our bodies and this world are falling apart. It comforts us when we are forced to say goodnight to someone we love, who has passed through the door of death. It reminds us that we can weep, but not as others who have no hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13). It leads us to redeem the time because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16). It helps us to rejoice in times of persecution and rejection (1 Peter 4:12-13).

In Psalm 90, after reminding us of the eternality of God and the brevity of our life on this earth, we are admonished, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). Psalm 39:4-5 adds, “Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity.” Life is short when compared to eternity. Our time on this earth is very limited. We must be wise to invest our time and talents for the rewards that will count for eternity. Soon, all of this will come to pass and only what has been accomplished by the Holy Spirit in us for the glory of God will really matter. Life is not about the collection of the junk of this world. The best investments we can make while on this earth are those that are forwarded ahead to be deposited in the bank of heaven (Matthew 6:19-21).

Our Lord expects us to be a people who are passionate about the future, especially as it relates to what He has prepared for us. Sadly, most people today fail to think about eternity. They live their entire lives focused upon the things of this world and how it can bring them pleasure at this moment in time. It is all about gratification now!

Most people are selling their souls to the cheap, instant thrills of this world. They do not realize that the God Who loves them created them to live for eternity. He created them to know Him and enjoy being with Him for all eternity. As you begin this New Year, please challenge yourself to apply the same warning given by Jesus to His disciples, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul” (Matthew 16:24-26)?

Be ready for the shout that will take us out!

Is He the One?

The Bible plainly states that the illumination of the identity of the antichrist will not take place until after the Rapture of the church (2 Thessalonians 2:1-10). While we will never know for sure who the antichrist will be, it appears that there are several persons on earth at this moment who could be the one who is being groomed by Satan to be his superman.

One such person is the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman. Just a few months ago, in August, the Crown Prince signaled that he wants Saudi Arabia to replace Jordan as the Islamic custodian of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. He mentioned that Saudi Arabia already controls the two most holy sites in the religion of Islam – Mecca and Medina. Therefore, in his eyes, it is only fitting that it also controls the third most holy site of Islam, which is the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

T hose who recognized this change believe that Mohammed bin Salman is positioning himself to strike a treaty of peace with Israel. According to the Bible, this is exactly what the antichrist will do (Daniel 9:27). It appears that the antichrist’s false peace agreement with Israel will include Israel’s right to build a Jewish temple on the Temple Mount.

Currently, there are only two groups that are passionately struggling for the right to control the holy mountain of Zion – Islam and Israel. Therefore, it appears that the stage is being set for the final war over the Temple Mount. It seems obvious to say that this war will be between Israel and Islam. When the antichrist breaks his false covenant with Israel at the mid-point of the Tribulation, he will make his move to take back his control over the Temple Mount (Daniel 9:27; 2 Thessalonians 2:4; Revelation 11:1-2).

Before Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, it appeared that a peace agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia was about to take place. Since Israel began its war in Gaza to destroy Hamas, the Islamic world has voiced its opposition to and hatred of Israel. However, to many people’s surprise, Mohammed bin Salman has guarded his comments on Israel’s war with Hamas and is trying to keep the door open for a peace deal with Israel.

Haisam Hassanein, an Arab Associate Fellow at The Washington Institute, in Joel Rosenberg’s All Arab News, reports that some influential Arabs are saying that Saudi Arabia holds the key to bringing peace to the Middle East. This report states, “Direct Saudi Arabian involvement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is likely to be the shortest route to a stable peace in the Middle East. … Clearly, a new Washington-Jerusalem-Riyadh entente is the best path to stable peace. Will U.S., Israeli, and Saudi leaders seize the opportunity” (All Arab News, December 21, 2023)

For quite some time it has been my conviction that the antichrist would be a Muslim leader in the Middle East who would have a face of peace, but a heart of war. We can not be sure that Mohammed bin Salman is the antichrist. However, it is obvious that the events of October 7 and its aftermath of Israel’s war with Hamas have created the perfect storm in the Middle East and the entire world that could set the stage for the antichrist’s entrance and his deceptive peace deal with Israel.

The time appears to be right. It is very likely that the antichrist is making his bid to garner global attention as a rising global political star. This could be it!

The End is in Sight

By Mike Wingfield

As we stand at this pivotal point in human history, those of us who study the prophetic Scriptures can clearly see the end of this age approaching! While we do not know exactly how much more time will elapse, we do know what the last seven years will look like.

During the days of the prophet Isaiah, at a time of great spiritual apostasy in Israel, God continually spoke through this great prophet to remind the children of Israel that He is the One and only true God, and there are no others. God gave evidence of this truth when He said to Israel, “Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is none else: I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” (Isaiah 46:9-10). This statement proves that He knows and orchestrates all events from the beginning to the end. Nothing surprises Him. All the efforts of Satan and his demons never catch the Lord off guard. Nothing that individuals and nations do can thwart His eternal purposes. Not one single event occurs outside of His all-inclusive will and eternal plan of the ages.

Before time began, prior to the foundation of the world, God chose every single detail of how and when everything would end. He is the eternal Holy One who “worketh all things after the counsel of his own will” (Ephesians 1:11). In His infinite wisdom, He has chosen to give us incredible insight into the details of the last seven years of man’s rule on earth.

Many of the details of the end of this age are horrific. I shall never forget how more than 30 years ago the Lord caused me to intently pour over the numerous Scriptures that give the precise details of the Tribulation P

The divine revelation concerning the events at the end of this age are perhaps more prominent and pronounced than most other subjects in the Bible. … God in His mercy has chosen to give mankind ample warning of those things that await the rebels against Him at the end of time.

The divine revelation concerning the events at the end of this age are perhaps more prominent and pronounced than most other subjects in the Bible. … God in His mercy has chosen to give mankind ample warning of those things that await the rebels against Him at the end of time. Period. This process lasted several months. There were many nights when I found it hard to sleep. I personally discovered that the divine revelation of the nature of the Tribulation Period is very troubling to the child of God. During this time, I began to understand why there is so little desire on the part of man to investigate the heart of God and see His purposes for the horrific features of this unique time in man’s final years at the end of this age. Some have chosen to ignore God’s revelation about the Tribulation. Many others do not believe there will be a time of great Tribulation. Consequently, I must warn you that many things I will say in this newsletter will be very disturbing. We don’t like to think about these things!

When we look through the pages of biblical history, we can see the sharp contrast between the light of God’s blessings when man walks with Him, and the darkness of God’s judgment when man rebels against Him. The Bible speaks much about the darkness of the depraved human heart and God’s response to it. Because He is holy, He must and will judge sin. It is a part of His divine justice. He has declared, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay” (Romans 12:19).

The divine revelation concerning the events at the end of this age are perhaps more prominent and pronounced than most other subjects in the Bible. … God in His mercy has chosen to give mankind ample warning of those things that await the rebels against Him at the end of time.

History reveals there have always been wars, violence, wickedness, rebellion, diseases, natural disasters, and famines. Mankind has had to suffer through spiritual deception, lawlessness, and hatred. However, the Tribulation Period will surpass any of these former horrible developments. It will be a time when all these troubles will escalate and reach the catastrophic point that will bring the earth’s population to the brink of self-destruction. Speaking about the end, Jesus said, “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake [those who will physically inhabit the Millennial Kingdom] those days shall be shortened” (Matthew 24:21,22).

In the study of the prophetic Scriptures over many decades, I have been literally overwhelmed with the volume of Scriptures that speak of the Tribulation Period. I have attempted to collect, organize, correlate, analyze, categorize, and put them in chronological order with the aid of the book of Revelation. In this attempt, I have tried to be very careful to literally interpret the Scriptures and follow a set of biblical guidelines to help me look at the Bible from a divine eternal perspective. To do this, it is important to examine the historical context, customs, languages, and geography of Israel and the Middle East, where civilization began, and it will end.

The divine revelation concerning the events at the end of this age are perhaps more prominent and pronounced than most other subjects in the Bible. For example, the Bible has far more to say about the Tribulation than all the combined verses in the gospels concerning the First Coming of the Messiah. God in His mercy has chosen to give mankind ample warning of those things that await the rebels against Him at the end of time.

I am convinced that God in His infinite wisdom has designed a final response to the historical sins of man and the nations from the beginning to the end. What God began in Genesis He will finish in the Book of Revelation. His focus among the nations in the last 4,000 years has been upon the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. When the end comes, He will deal harshly in His holy wrath against the nations that have cursed Israel for more than 4,000 years.

In Genesis 12:1-2, God chose a land, and a people. In an unconditional covenant, He promised Abraham, “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great: and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:2-3). God has kept His unconditional promise to the Jewish people, their land, and their nation – Israel. If He would do otherwise, He would cease to be the faithful God of truth! That will never happen. In the last book of the older testament, God declared, “For I am the LORD, I change not: therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed” (Malachi 3:6).

The tragic events perpetrated by Hamas on October 7 in Israel are a vital part of the strategy of Muslims to destroy Israel as the first step toward the establishment of a global Islamic empire.

People who fail to grasp the reality of this eternal promise given to Abraham and His divinely chosen descendants will be totally confused in their interpretation of Scripture. Furthermore, they fail to grasp the significance and meaning of the current events that are unfolding at this very hour! The church has not replaced Israel in God’s eternal plan. The events taking place in Israel now are setting the stage for God’s final judgment upon the nations that have had a history of cursing the Jews. Sadly, most of the church leadership in America and the world are totally silent about what is to take place in our world. Instead of bearers of God’s light, they are pawns in the hands of the kingdom of darkness.

The tragic events perpetrated by Hamas on October 7 in Israel are a vital part of the strategy of Muslims to destroy Israel as the first step toward the establishment of a global Islamic empire.

I believe that the tragic events that unfolded on October 7 in Southern Israel in 14 Jewish communities near the Gaza Strip, are a precursor to what will unfold during the seven-year Tribulation. For those of you who are faithful readers of this newsletter, you know that my interpretation of the Bible has led me to conclude that the end-time conflict with Israel and the world will revolve around the nations of the Middle East (Ezekiel 36:4, 7). Historically and prophetically, the Bible is consistently focused upon the Middle East.

Those who continue to cling to the view of a revived Roman Empire and a global power structure in the West in the Tribulation are not reading all of the Bible. All the events, trends, wars, and nations of the Tribulation Period focus upon the Middle East. The Western nations will not play a major role in the end time events. It is apparent that the West is in a free-fall spiritually, morally, socially, politically, economically, and militarily.

The tragic events perpetrated by Hamas on October 7 in Israel are a vital part of the strategy of Muslims to destroy Israel as the first step toward the establishment of a global Islamic empire. Their goal is to destroy Israel and America, and then wage a religious war against the rest of the world. Their goal is to rule over all nations and force the global population to become Muslims or be murdered.

Most non-Muslims do not know or comprehend the true face of historical Islam. People need to ask, “What Muslim groups today represent the teaching and model of the founding prophet Muhammed?” In answering this question, we must be very careful who we listen to. Muslims, the liberal Western media, and educational systems, cannot be trusted to give us the factual evidence about anything – including Islam.

To grasp the truth about Islam we must look at Islam through the lens of the Bible. The Bible is our only valid standard of truth. At the same time, we need to have an accurate grasp of the teachings and history of Islam since its founding by Muhammed in Saudi Arabia in 630 A.D. We need to have a thorough knowledge of the holy books of Islam – the Quran and Hadith. These two books have guided the faith and thinking of Islam for more than 14 centuries.

After many years of searching for an accurate biblical understanding of Islam, I have come to respect and follow the writings of Dr. Mark Gabriel. Mark was born and raised as a devout Egyptian Muslim. When he was 12 years old, he had memorized the entire Quran. He attended Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt where he earned his Bachelor’s, a Master’s, and a Doctorate degree in Islamic history and culture. After earning his doctorate, he became a professor at this oldest and most prestigious Islamic University in the world. While still searching for answers to questions about his faith, he was given a copy of the Bible. After reading the Scriptures, he became a committed believer of Jesus Christ. Eventually, he fled to the United States after many attempts upon his life. For security purposes, he changed his name and adopted his current Christian name.

Upon coming to America, he earned a Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Bible and Christian education. Who better could understand Islam than a former devout Muslim who taught other Muslims about their faith? Most importantly, he is now a Christian and has a great grasp of the Bible. This is a person who can be trusted to give us a true biblical perspective of Islam.

In this newsletter, I will be frequently quoting from Mark Gabriel’s book, Islam and Terrorism. We are offering this book for $7.00. See our order form on page 8. If you want to understand what is happening in our world, I highly recommend this simple, yet profound and insightful 213-page paperback book.

Today, there are 2 billion followers of Islam in the world. That means that one out of every four people in the world is a Muslim. Islam is the second largest religion in the world, only exceeded by Christianity. Muslims are currently living in almost every nation. It is believed that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world.

At the heart of the religion of Islam is its goal to rule the entire world. Islam is more than just a religion. It is also a political ideology that wants to govern all of earth’s citizens. “Islam is a religion and a state. After Muhammed emigrated from Mecca to Medina, he set up a political government, established laws, and established Islam as a system of belief that covers every aspect of life” (Islam and Terrorism, p. 15). In many ways this is like the atheistic global control of socialism and communism. This is why these political systems of radical domination of people support one another in the United Nations.

Like the Communists, Islam’s method of conquering the world is through war. The followers of radical Islam are the true followers of their historical teachings that originated with Muhammad. “The Islamic radical is a fundamentalist – he wants to practice Islam the way Muhammad practiced Islam. So, his definition of jihad [holy war] is based on Muhammad’s – both in word and by example. The Quran contains a tremendous amount of teaching about jihad. In fact, I estimate that 60 percent of the Quran is related to the concept of jihad” (Islam and Terrorism, p. 16). Islam is a religion that spreads its influence by war!

Revelation 6:1-8 features four horsemen that symbolize the beginning activities of the seven-year Tribulation Period. After much study of the prophetic context of the Scriptures, I have concluded that the actions of these horses represent the beginning of global Islamic jihad against the nations at the opening of the Tribulation.

It is obvious from the context that each of these horses represents the evil acts of wicked people. In the Bible, horses usually represent war (Proverbs 21:31; 1 Kings 4:26). Horses played a significant role in the first Islamic jihad of the 6th century and the following centuries of Islamic warfare. Some of the most famous horses that were bred in the region are called “Arabian horses.”

Most of the wars mentioned in the Bible concerning the end-time revolve around the Islamic nations of the Middle East (Ezekiel 38-39, Daniel 11:40-45, Psalm 83:1-8). The battle of Armageddon will feature Islamic nations: Lebanon and Gaza (Joel 3:4; Obadiah 19), Iraq (Revelation 16:12-16), and the Palestinians, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia (Ezekiel 34).

The rider on the white horse in Revelation 6:2, represents the introduction of the restoration of the Islamic Caliphate (the global Islamic Kingdom). Islam ruled the world and the Holy Land from 1517 to 1917. It is now in a state of revival to restore what they lost after WW I. The rider on the white horse represents the Islamic messiah, who deceptively comes in the name of peace. Note that the rider has a bow, but no arrows – symbolically coming in the name of peace. Daniel 8:25 says that the Antichrist will come “and by peace shall destroy many.” Notice that Revelation 6:2 says that “a crown was given unto him.” The Greek word used here for crown means an overcomer, a victor. It means that the rider on the white horse has won a military conquest. This is exactly what Islam is expecting.

Islam views itself as a peaceful religion. They divide the world into two groups – “the house of Islam,” and “the house of war.” In other words, they are at peace with you if you are a Muslim, but if you are not a Muslim, you are in the house of war and must be annihilated.

Revelation 6:2 also states, “and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.” This means that his military conquests will ultimately lead to his political domination. The Antichrist will be known as a man of war (Daniel 11:38-39, Revelation 13:4). Notice that his call for Armageddon will come from the Middle East (Revelation 16:12-16).

The Antichrist will make a false peace treaty with Israel and will allow them to rebuild their temple and revive the ancient sacrificial system (Daniel 9:27). The antichrist will ultimately break this false covenant. After he does this, he will be passionate about his control of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem – considered to be the third most holy site in the religion of Islam (Daniel 9:27; Matthew 24:15; 2 Thessalonians 2:4; Revelation 11:1-2). Today, the struggle over the control of this mountain is the central focus of the war between Islam and Israel. No other political groups seem to be so passionate about this valuable historic property. Once again, this proves that the end-time struggle is between Islam and Israel.

The second rider in Revelation 6:4 is said to be “another horse”. The Greek word “another” indicates that this rider is the same as the rider on the white horse. This rider has a “sword.” The Greek word for sword indicates that this is a short dagger (in contrast to the long saber used in war). This is the weapon of assassins. It represents the violent massacres and terrorism that will be characteristic of the jihad-type of guerrilla warfare against all non-Muslim nations.

Furthermore, the action of this rider will “take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another” (Revelation 6:4). This is not the language of conventional warfare. It is speaking of the inhabitants of earth being at war with each other – the perfect language of Islamic terrorism.

The riders of the next two horses in Revelation 6 report the results of this global jihad by Islamic terrorists. This war of terrorism will destroy the global economy (verses 5-6) and introduce serious global famine conditions (verse 6).

Islam’s goal is to remove the high-tech world and return the world to the ancient lifestyle of the days of Muhammed. As this is implemented, it will bring about death to many because without the use of agricultural high-tech applications the world cannot feed eight billion people. According to Revelation 6:8, one-fourth of the global population will die during the opening months of Islam’s global jihad.

It appears that our world is ready for the beginning events of the Tribulation Period. I am convinced the attack upon Israel by Hamas on October 7, and the global response to it signal that the Tribulation is about to begin.

The methods used by Hamas against Israel illustrate the kind of brutal and inhuman warfare that will be waged against all nations as mentioned in Revelation 6 at the beginning of the Tribulation. Hamas was acting as an agent of radical Islamic elements that are ready to murder all non-Muslims in the name of Allah. As they attacked innocent Israelis on October 7, they continually shouted “Allah is Greater!” In their view, this is a holy war against Israel and the entire non-Muslim world.

Here is a list of the activities of Hamas and their connection to Islamic jihad.

According to the Quran, if non-Muslims fail to repent, they must be killed. Surah 4:89, states, “Those who reject Islam must be killed, If they turn back (from Islam), take (hold of) them and kill them wherever you find them.”

Jihad is a vital part of practicing historic Islam. “Jihad is definitely commanded for all Muslims in the Quran” (Islam and Terrorism, p. 30). According to the Quran, this is the only way a Muslim can guarantee his entrance into heaven. So according to Islam, a person can seal their own salvation by their own personal sacrifice for Allah.

According to the Quran, Islamic warriors are to behead and dismember their victims. Surah 47:4 of the Quran states, “Therefore, when you meet the Unbelievers (in battle), smite at their necks, at length, when you subdue them, bind a bond firmly (on them)…” On October 7th, hundreds of Israeli victims were beheaded and mutilated. This will be the method the Antichrist and his followers will use in their war against the world during the Tribulation (Revelation 20:4)

Muhammed taught his followers to not work or earn wages, but to wage war to take the possessions of those whom they killed. Muhammed’s “important source of income was plundering after battle. This was his economic lifeblood, just as oil is the economic lifeblood of the Gulf countries today. They did not farm, work trades, or conduct business. They fought. Part of their profit came from slave trading. When invading an enemy country, they killed all males and took the women and children as slaves” (Islam and Terrorism, p. 70).

It has been very disturbing to watch the hostage release process between Israel and Hamas. The world does not grasp how Hamas abducted women and children to use them to wage war against Israel. Israel is now being forced to exchange murderers in their prisons to get their people back home.

According to Joel 3:3, the forces of the Antichrist will be involved in taking Jewish children as hostages and turning them into slaves for their own purposes. This is one of the things that enrages our Holy God (Matthew 18:6). Hamas has demonstrated that they do not respect the lives of Jewish or Arab children. God has promised that they will suffer His divine judgment (Joel 3:4).

According to the Quran, the main targets of Islam are Jews and believers in Jesus. This is exactly what is depicted in the Book of Revelation. The Bible declares that Islam will be “drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus” (Revelation 17:6).

There are numerous reports that Islamic terrorists are killing Christians, burning churches, and gang raping Christian women in Europe, Africa, and throughout the Middle East. The Islamic sexual immorality, murders, and theft will be a part of their jihadist rampage during the Tribulation (Revelation 9:21). Western media groups are completely silent about these attacks upon Christians.

According to the Bible, the followers of the Antichrist, who will be just like ISIS and Hamas, will use drugs. Revelation 9:21says, “Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication [illicit sexual activity], nor of their thefts.” The Greek word that is translated as “sorceries” is pharmakia. This is the word from which we get the English word pharmacy. In Revelation 9:21 it points to illegal drugs. In ancient times, mind-altering drugs were always associated with witchcraft and sorcery. Those who took these drugs were inducing themselves into a demonic state, while submitting themselves to demons to control their mind and body. There is evidence that the armies of Muhammed did the same thing 14 centuries ago!

Lying about Agreements

“Muslim groups will use peace talks or agreements to buy time so they can make new plans, prepare, and position themselves for victory. Muslim military leaders will tell the other side whatever it wants to hear in order to buy time, but when it comes time to deliver what is agreed upon, you will see a different story” (Islam and Terrorism, p. 88).

We must pray for Israel. Pray for its political and military leaders. Pray that they will have victory over Hamas. They are currently fighting the Islamic war that is poised to spread around the globe.

I am convinced that Islam’s war with America is about to reach a new level of attack. Our open southern border has provided thousands of terrorists’ illegal entry into our country. The terrorists who are here are simply waiting for the signal from Iran to begin their attacks against Americans just like they did against Israelis on October 7.

They attacked Israel on a day of great spiritual significance – on the day of Simchat Torah. This was to be a day of great rejoicing in Israel as they began a new cycle of the annual reading of parts of the Bible. However, Islam chose to bring sorrow at a time when the Jewish people were supposed to be experiencing great spiritual joy. Will Islamic leaders choose to attack America at such a moment? If so, it could be at some time around our great celebrations of Christmas. They would love to turn our Christmas celebrations into a time of sorrow, pain, and fear. We need to be in prayer. This is a very serious moment in the history of our nation and world.

It is shocking to realize that many people in the world are supporting the Islamic terrorists’ attacks against innocent Israeli civilians. The hatred for Jews and Israel is spiraling out of control, fomenting lawlessness. This signals that our world has reached a point of moral and spiritual destruction. Society is at the breaking point of self-destruction.

I consider Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be a leader who speaks with great moral clarity, perhaps more than any other world leader. Recently he said, “The horrors that Hamas perpetrated on October 7 remind us that we will not realize the promise of a better future unless we, the civilized world, are willing to fight the barbarians. Because the barbarians are ready to fight us… and usher in a world of fear and darkness, … It is time for all of us to decide if we are willing to fight for a future of hope and promise or surrender to tyranny and terror, …In fighting Hamas and the Iranian axis of terror, Israel is fighting the enemies of civilization itself. It begins with knowing the difference between good and evil, between right and wrong… It means making a moral distinction between the deliberate murder of the innocent and the unintentional casualties that accompany every legitimate war. Israel will stand against the forces of barbarism until victory. I hope and pray that civilized nations everywhere will back this fight,” he said. ‘Because Israel’s fight is your fight; because if Hamas and Iran’s axis of evil win, you will be their next target. That’s why Israel’s victory will be your victory,’” he added. (Benjamin Netanyahu, World Israel News, October 30, 2023).
