They Meant it for Evil

God has demonstrated that He will bless His chosen people. He has called and blessed them since the time of Abraham. Even in the midst of suffering and loss, God has blessed His people. When Satan and his evil minions attempted to harm Israel, the Lord displayed His faithfulness and sovereign power by defeating Satan’s attempts to harm His people. Not only does He defeat the devil and evil, but God turns the attack into a blessing.

Iran and its proxy terrorist groups have intended to threaten Israel with annihilation. However, while Israel has suffered great loss, it is leading to a greater blessing for Israel and Jews around the world. Like Joseph said to his brothers, “You thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive” (Genesis 50:20). For many years, the Jewish people wondered about the apparent absence of God in their defense during the Holocaust. However, this horrific time ultimately opened the doors for the creation of the modern state of Israel. God turned their suffering into a praise.

The Lord has chosen to use suffering to bring about His perfect will in His people. Concerning Israel, the Lord has said, “I haven chosen thee in the furnace of affliction” (Isaiah 48:10).

Israel suffered great loss on October 7th. However, now the hand of God is pouring out many blessings upon the Jewish people. The Jewish people in Israel and around the world are experiencing a unique spirit of unity unlike anything in modern times. There is presently a spirit of sweet unity and comradery in Israel among all Jews. As a result of the explosion of antisemitism around the world, many Jewish people are planning to immigrate to Israel. The largest pro-Israel rally took place in Washington D.C. on November 14, 2023. (See photo.) The greatest blessing is the spiritual revival that is taking place in Israel. Israelis are seeking the face of God. It remains to be seen if this is the beginning of the great movement of salvation that will culminate in Israel during the Tribulation.

This certainly demonstrates that “If God be for us, who can be against us” (Romans 8:31)?

At War with God

The nations of the world are at war with God. Their attempt to remove the Jewish people from the Holy Land is an exercise of futility. The Bible declares that one of God’s major purposes for the end times is the return of the Jewish people from the nations back to their ancient homeland. God said in Ezekiel 36:24, “For I will take you from among the heathen [nations] and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.” This is the will of the sovereign Lord God of Israel. God is moving them in, and the world wants to cast them out.

For hundreds of years the Gaza area was a stronghold of the Philistines, one of Israel’s most powerful enemies. However, God promised His people that the sea coastal area of Philistines was a part of the land He was giving them. In Exodus 23:31, God said, “And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.” Israel struggled in their war with the Philistines for 400 years until this area was finally conquered by David. 1 Kings 4:21 states, “And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt …”

The United States’ administration is dictating to Israel that when this war is over, the Gaza area must not be occupied by Israel again. Furthermore, they are demanding that the Palestinian Authority on the West Bank be given control over Gaza. This shows that the American leaders do not understand the situation in the Middle East. The leaders on the West Bank are the same in their religious ideology that calls for the destruction of Israel. The Palestinians on the West Bank (biblical Judea and Samaria) teach their children to hate and kill Jews. Hamas represents hundreds of thousand of radical Muslims who are calling for the destruction of Israel.

The Bible promises the Jewish people that in the last days they will occupy the area of Gaza (Obadiah 15-19; Zephaniah 2:1-7). What God has determined will happen just as He has said. “The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: … This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations. For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?” (Isaiah 14:24, 26-27)

Israel is a sovereign democratic nation. The world needs to let them care for their people and land. Let them alone and let God perform His eternal plan. Those who oppose God will bring a curse upon themselves.

Israel’s war with its enemies will not cease until the Prince of Peace, the Messiah (Jesus), returns to establish His kingdom of peace. Until that time comes, let us keep praying for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). Pray for Israel as they fight for peace, while their enemies love war (Psalm 120:7).

Donate to Help Israelis at War

This is a time when Christians need to pray for and support our Jewish friends, the chosen people of God. Israel is at war. It is a small country – about the size of the state of New Jersey. The cost of defending itself against many enemies who want to annihilate them is great. They need our financial support now more than ever.

When Jesus judges those who have survive the Tribulation Period, the test of their faith will be what they have done for Jewish people in their time of great need. Read Matthew 25:31-46. When we give to help the Jewish people, we are giving to His brethren.
I encourage you to give generously. God will bless them even if we do not give. He will bless us if we give. This is a vital part of His will and heart. Giving to them is giving to Him.
I recommend that you give your donation to The International Embassy in Jerusalem. They have been in Israel for decades. They know the needs and have been faithfully aiding the Jewish people. Your gift will not only meet Israel’s needs, but you will also demonstrate the love of the body of Christ to them. Mark your gift: “Israel in Crisis Fund.”

  • Funding trauma counseling and care for Israeli families severely shaken by the conflict.

War Update for Sunday Morning, October 15

As Israel prepares for a ground invasion into the densely populated norther section of the Gaza Strip, they are still fighting a few lone terrorists who are still in Israel. At one kibbutz, they found and eliminated two Hamas terrorists, and rescued 200 Israelis they were being held as hostages. Israel continues to prepare for a coordinated ground invasion of Northern Gaza. Israeli morale is high. They called up 300,000 reservists and 360,000 showed up for the war campaign. They are warning their enemies that they are the forces of “the Lion of God.” May the Lord be with them and give them complete victory over evil.

Iran’s foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian showed up in Beirut, Lebanon yesterday and openly admitted that Iran assisted and backed the Hamas invasion into Israel on October 7th. Israel successfully bombed a major airport runway to stop the flow of air traffic from arriving from Iran.
Yesterday, Iran backed Hezbollah forces in Lebanon attacked Israel with mortars and missiles. The Israeli Air Force retaliated by bombing several of Hezbollah’s military structures in Southern Lebanon. There is increasing concern that Iran will give the green light to Hezbollah to begin a full-scale attack against Israel with its 150,000 Iranian missiles. If this happens it will drastically change the situation in Israel and the entire Middle East.

Furthermore, Iran warned Israel that if they continued with their announced plans with a ground war against Hamas, that Iran would get directly involved in the current war. This comes after a Russian warning concerning Israel’s bombing of Syrian international airports. Turkey has also spoken out against Israel’s war efforts. Russia, Iran, and Turkey are three of the leading nations who will make up the invading coalition against Israel in the future biblical war of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38-39). Is it possible that we are seeing the events that will lead to this future biblical war? I believe that this invasion of Israel will most likely take place immediately after the Rapture.

Friends, we are on the brink of very significant developments that indicate the Rapture is extremely near. I have been preaching and teaching about these events for decades. My heart and mind are racing with excitement. We must prepare ourselves for that imminent moment when we shall see Jesus.

Russia Attacks Israel

For years, Israel has repeatedly attacked Iranian military positions in Syria. The Jewish state has made it known to Russia and everyone else in the region and the world, that Israel cannot and will not tolerate an Iranian military build up in Syria. Israel considers this to be an existential threat. Russian and Israel leadership have openly discussed this on several occasions. In the past, Russia has verbally agreed that Israel has the right to defend itself. Therefore, Russia’s policy has been to not interfere with Israel’s aircraft when they destroy Iranian military positions in Syria. This has now changed.

Israel is now reporting that sometime last week, Russian forces opened fire on Israeli aircraft in Syria while they were targeting Iranian military positions in Syria. Russia joined Syrian forces in an attack to shoot down Israeli military jets while they were carrying out their mission in Syria. This was the first of such an incident in which Russia has shown any aggression against Israel in recent years.

As a result of this attack, Israel Today gave the following report on May 17, 2022. “The situation in Ukraine has opened a widening rift between Israel and Russia that many fear could ultimately result in armed confrontation.

“If an Israel Channel 13 News report is to be believed, the first shots in the Israel-Russia conflict have already been fired.

Last week, Israel Air Force (IAF) jets allegedly attacked targets in northern Syria. That’s not out of the ordinary.

But this time, according to unnamed sources cited by Channel 13, Russian military units stationed in Syria opened fire on the Israeli aircraft.

“Syrian military air defenses have been almost entirely ineffective in preventing Israeli airstrikes on targets in the country.

But there are a number of advanced Russian-made S-300 anti-aircraft batteries deployed throughout Syria that until now have not been activated against the Israelis.

“Those batteries are operated by Russian military personnel and are under Russian military command. And one of them reportedly joined Syrian air defenses in attacking Israeli planes last week.

“If true, experts said this marks a significant and dangerous policy shift on the part of Moscow” (Israel Today, May 17, 2022)

Could this be the beginning of the conflict between Israel and Russia that will lead to the Gog and Magog war mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39? Only time will tell!

Get ready for the shout that will take us out.
